    Hi,

I found your website through Illustratorink.com.

I have been writing poetry for years as a hobby, lately; more along the line of silly, childish rhyming poems for children. I envision them not as a poems, but as rhyming children’s picture books.

I have always loved the style of Dr. Seuss, and try to incorporate the same style into my writing. I recently sent samples of my work to a publishing company and they wanted to write a contract. This came too suddenly and was very costly for me. Not only would they require a substantial deposit upfront but I would have to also buy my own books from them at 40% of the retail price.

Because of this, I decided to do some searching. I found a company that offers self-publishing, with full support, called DiggyPOD. I like what I have seen so far, but need to find an illustrator who can envision my characters as I see them in my head.

You seem to fit the bill. I love your illustrations but am also operating on a very thin budget. Therefore I am not sure if I can afford you right now. I may have to wait for a few months to a year to actually go into full swing, but I am determined.

If you are interested , I would love to see if you might be able to create a character or two from a sample children’s story I have written. This would be a great way to see if we may have an opportunity to work together.

I live in Florence, AZ, so a trip to Apache Junction is not a problem if you would like to one meet.
I welcome your thoughts on al of this. Perhaps we can begin our dialogue through emails.

Thank you for your valuable time.

Me again, Please disregard my broken writing toward the bottom of the transcript. I do not know what happened. Sorry about that.
